The giant underground lake was found in the south of Albania, in the Vromoner region. It’s called Lake Neuron, and it surprised researchers with its size and depth. For many years, no one knew it existed.
According to the travel website siviaggia.it, the lake is 138 meters long and 42 meters wide. It holds over 8,300 cubic meters of water – that’s more than three Olympic swimming pools! It’s now considered the largest underground thermal lake ever discovered.
