It is one of Europe’s biggest fruit producers, and many of the fruits are enjoyed around the world. Now, a Polish fruit has received a top spot in a global ranking.
The well-known food website TasteAtlas has published a list of the 100 best fruits in the world, and one of Poland’s favourites – the Kashubian Strawberry – came in second place!
Polish fruit among world’s best in global ranking
This is a big achievement for Polish farmers, especially those in the Kashubia region. The Kashubian Strawberry – called Kaszëbskô Malëna in the local language – is known for its strong aroma and natural sweetness. It grows in a special climate with warm days and cool nights, which gives it its unique flavour.

What makes this strawberry even more special is that it has EU protection as a regional product (PGI – Protected Geographical Indication). Only certified growers from the Kashubia region can use the name. This guarantees the high quality and authenticity of the fruit.

Ranking best fruits in the world
According to TasteAtlas, the only fruit rated higher than the Kashubian Strawberry was the Rodakina Naoussas peach from Greece. Third place also went to a Greek fruit – the Mandarini Chiou mandarin. This ranking is great news for Polish fruit producers and fans. It shows that our fruit is not only popular, but also recognized for its excellent taste and quality. The Kashubian Strawberry is a true Polish gem worth celebrating and sharing with the world.
