Ryanair in Polish court

Ryanair in Polish court. News. A court in Kraków has ruled against a passenger who caused serious problems on a Ryanair flight from Glasgow to Kraków. Because of his aggressive behaviour, the plane had to land early in Rzeszów. Now, the man must pay €3,230 to Ryanair for the trouble he caused.

Aggressive passenger forces emergency landing

The incident happened on 30 June 2024 during flight FR4204. There were 191 passengers and six crew members on board. Due to the man’s behaviour, the crew had to act quickly, and the flight was forced to land in Rzeszów. This caused delays and many problems for other passengers.

According to Pasażer.com, the court in Kraków has now ordered the passenger to pay for the damages. Ryanair is also dealing with another similar case – this time involving a flight from Berlin to Marrakesh. The airline is asking for more than €3,000 in that case too.

Ryanair says it will continue to take strong legal action against anyone who breaks safety rules or behaves badly on board. In the Berlin–Marrakesh case, the plane had to land in Seville. The airline banned the passenger from flying for five years and reported the case to Spanish authorities.

  • €800 for extra fuel
  • €7,000 for hotels for passengers and crew
  • €2,500 in airport charges
  • €1,800 for new crew
  • €2,500 for legal costs
  • €750 for lost on-board sales

Zero tolerance for bad behaviour

These actions are part of Ryanair’s clear policy: there will be no tolerance for aggressive or dangerous behaviour. Passengers who cause trouble will face not just delays and bans, but also big financial and legal consequences.
